In 2017, we won a public furniture competition for this historical city to lift up and replace the mix of different types of furniture and baskets, which often served more for advertising than people.
Prague is the very old capital city of the Czech Republic with a rich history. Founded during the Romanesque and flourishing by the Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque eras, Prague was the capital of the Kingdom of Bohemia. Each of Prague’s districts has its own characteristic atmosphere and unique charm.
It was important to involve the ancient feeling to fit the new furniture with the city. Because the whole family is very diverse, it was important to create a design identity that could fit for all the pieces. We decided to use casted metal parts that we shaped as a sculpture.
